You can be right. Landscape is a god thing, but portrait format is good for book covers and in between text, so I always make sure I make some of these.

Taken against the blue sky to find a complimentary match to the orange colours of the butterfly.

Sicher, ich kann Deutsch verstehen, schreibe es aber nicht so gut.

Und Ja, das ist rigtig, aber muss man unbedingt das Motiv isolieren?

Why do you think that? I mean.... I have tons of well isolated images of the Emperor on any kind of background. Normally I use the macro lens, but in this case I tried to widen the dynamic range of the picture by using the wide angel lens. Anyhow... Im not sure if the wide angel is useful for close ...

No tripod, handheld... I was sitting on my knees in the shallow water among the reeds and supported the camera by fixing one elbow at one knee. 3/4 of the pics were unsharp.

Rather wet of course.
